Goals Part II

12 Dec

In yesterday’s blog, I discussed how setting goals can make your workouts more meaningful, so today I will provide you with a comprehensive list of resources to help you get started.

Below are a list of websites and a description of the information each site provides;

http://www.active.com/ is a website that has events for every sport that you can imagine.  Whether you’d like to sign up for walk or join a soccer team, this site has so many different types of events.

http://www.runnersworld.com/cda/racefinder/0,7151,s6-239-283-284-0-0-0-0-0,00.html is a link from Runners World that lists all the races throughout the world and you can narrow your search by selecting the distance, location, and time of year.

If you are looking to travel, http://www.backroads.com/ is a website that lists trips by destination, time of year, sport, and more.

If you are looking for a cycling program which also offers a nutritional component, check out http://www.zengofitness.com/

http://running.competitor.com/ is another website which lists races for cyclists, mountain bikers, runners, triathletes, and more.

I hope these sites give you some ideas for getting started, so please look them over and let me know if they were helpful or not.
